Dedication in an aspiration

Sometimes when we say "You should dedicate more into the path of liberation... involve with the path more than just a worldling... sacrifice your time & energy more into the path of liberation"... etc...  Some refuse by saying, that they are willing to become disciple in another buddha's time period not this time.  They say they have greater aspirations.   So, they say, they don't need to have such a dedication as there is no point, coz they can't achieve any noble results in this Buddha Sasana.  Sometimes some says they are willing to become Samma Sambuddha or Pacceka Buddhas so they don't need to dedicate as much as a disciples do. They ask us to carry on I'll come leisurely...   Sometimes, they do involve with meritorious activities by saying they are doing these just because they have to do these to fulfill their wish to become someone noble in another sasana.  In another way they are saying that they are simply USING the noble ones for their personal achievements, which they believe noble!

Can you see the danger of defilements? Can you see how your agitated mind misleading you by showing you a fake path of being a noble one in someday?  Why it's fake?  If you are a wise person, you will recognize how this behaviour is fake and not related to the path of liberation!

First of all, if you believe you are someone who have a WISH to become a Samma Sambuddha or Paccheka Buddha or Disciple Buddha in another time period not this time... or IF you believe that you are someone who have a wish to achieve certain noble position in another time of a Samma Sambuddha... you have such noble aspiration…  how you really got that confirmation?

Through books?  Do you remember Gauthama Buddha or another Samma Sambuddha confirming your aspiration, that you are such a being with such a noble intention?  Or do you see that through your own meditation powers?  Or someone whom you believe have meditation powers told you?  How you actually know exactly that you are not willing to dedicate your life to the liberation just because you have this certain type of noble wish?

Ok... IF you think that you have truly found the way that it is confirmed and you are person with such a noble wish, then it's time for you to look deep into your behaviour.

You may have come across the teachings of Bodhisattvas.  You may have come across the teachings of how people with such a noble wish behave in their past lives.   There are plenty of stories and incident to recognize the behaviour of a bodhisattva... their dedication... their mindset... their sacrifices...!

But the unaware worldlings fail to see these... They fail to recognize the depth... Those who have pure genuine intentions know the feeling... they aren't strange to them. 

So, did you see the extent there are willing to sacrifice their lives for the truth?  Did you notice their dedication towards to the liberation?  When you say "Oh, I don't feel like it's necessary to dedicate in such extent, because I have this wish to become certain noble position or noble being..." how far do you know about the extent of dedication of a genuine truth seeker?

Let's say you are a reader of Theravada Pali Canon... You have the stories of all type of Bodhisattvas in Pali Canon... You can see how each & every one dedicated their lives through out eons to realize the truth! 

Let's say for an example the Noble disciple Great Arhath Bāhiya Dārucīriya.  He is the disciple who instantly realized the truth when Samma Sambuddha explain it in few words!   Eons ago, when there was the time of during the time of Buddha Padumuttara, he witnessed a bhikkhu being declared by the Buddha as the foremost among the bhikkhus who attained enlightenment quickly. Inspired by that he also felt that he wanted to be such a noble disciple who realize the truth quickly.  So, he worked towards his aspiration throughout his past lives.  You may have heard about the story of his dedication level in his past life.  How he used to be a follower of previous Samma Sambuddha named Kassapa, and when Samma Sambuddha passed away he and his friends noticed how everyone was distracted and not interesting on liberation... and how they all felt so disgusted by that feeling and sacrificed their lives in to finding the truth!  Not only Bāhiya Dārucīriya among them, there were few another noble disciples whom had wishes to become disciples of Gauthama Samma Sambuddha.  But they were not aware of their wishes nor they care about what they wish for as their only wish for eons is only to realizing the TRUTH only!  So, they all chose a steep mountain where they went to the top and devoted their lives for liberation.

You may have heard about the story of our noble Gauthama Samma Sambuddha as a monk in his last human life.  When Kassapa Samma Sambuddha confirmed the aspiration to become a Samma Sambuddha is going to fulfill soon as the next Samma Sambuddha, the bodhisattva’s dedication wasn't limited.  He was not lazy and say "I'll be the next Samma Sambuddha so, I don't feel like dedicating much as disciples do as it is not necessary..." That's not how this path of liberation works my dear people!

It's common sense to understand the dedication level of a person with noble aspiration is way higher than a normal worldling.  It's obvious they don't waste their lives by entertaining themselves and being lazy to finding the truth!  They simple DO NOT COME UP with loads of excuses!  They don't use noble ones for their personal agendas!  They don't serve food for the noble ones because they need to be a noble one too!  They just simply do it with the gratitude of showing the right direction towards the eternal truth!

Look at your conditioned mind... look how you have become a slave of your conditioned mind.  Even for the liberation you have such a load of conditions that you can't see how you are using the noble one by being just an unaware worldling.

Try to recognize the message hidden in this Editorial.  Identify your defile mind and its behaviour.  Identify how unfortunate you are to losing the opportunity of liberating in this Samma Sambuddha's time period just because your mind says you can't dedicate enough because you have a noble aspiration.  Look the joke hidden in that defile thoughts.  Look at your behaviour. 

Those who have noble aspiration are simply genuine truth seekers.  they are craving for the truth!  They are dying for the truth!  they sacrifice everything for their liberation!  AND YOU????

Aren't you just boasting around about your noble aspiration without doing anything towards to achieve it?  Aren't you just behaving like an unaware worldling who fails to recognize the dedication of a true truth seeker? 

Look deeply my dear friends!  You are missing something deep!  Your defile mind... your conditioned mind... your agitated mind is messing with you!  Identify that risk... Identify the danger you are in... Try to identify the noble guidance you are losing... try to identify the noble message you are getting from noble triple gem... try to recognize the given opportunity for you!  try to identify the protection you are still getting and how you are being blind and getting away from that!  Be wise!  Be Aware of your deluded worldly mindset!
