Let everyone express their Opinions
May 2018 edition
Article summary
All I can observe these days are human beings are not so ready to accept others opinion. They are always against each other and argue so badly and insulting each other in every possible platform. So, thought of sharing my point of view, of course my opinion through a wonderful Zen story. Hope this will awake your opinion about other’s opinions.
Chuang Tzu (Influential Chinese philosopher who lived around the 4th century BC) and his friend were walking along a river bank and stopped for a moment to gaze at the water.
Chuang Tzu exclaimed, “Look at those fish, how they’re enjoying themselves!”
“How would you know? You aren’t a fish to know if they’re having a good time!” snorted the friend.
“You aren’t me either,” said Chuang Tzu. “So how would you know that I don’t know the fish are having fun?”
Hope this little but powerful story has given you some hint of having opinion on other’s opinion. We can’t judge others or it’s not a proper behavior to criticize others with the assumptions we made over their opinions.
Every one’s perceptions are as valid as yours.
Samma Sambuddha many times explained, that everyone make decision or talk about what they believe with their own view and sometimes that can be a false view but for that person it is the right view. That’s what he / she believes in that time. So, it’s useless to argue with someone else’s opinion as both side are already make their minds as both sides are correct according to their view.
So, my dear friends. If we can responsible towards our own action, we can build a pleasant environment to everyone else. Let’s try not to jump with conclusion with other’s opinion and their views. Let’s try to respect all of them and do the best for own self as well as to the others.
Have a blessed time!
